Position: Front-End Web Developer
OBJECTIVE:
Sportsvite is seeking an experienced and talented XHTML / CSS Developer in its New York, NY or Arlington,
VA office.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
If you are an intelligent, motivated individual with complete fluency in advanced CSS and XHTML, an
unhealthy passion for web technologies, a despising of tables and are a frequent user of validation tools, we
want to hear from you!
Sportsvite is seeking a Front-End (CSS/XHTML) Developer to join our rapidly growing web team. The
position is full time, in-house and you will be working directly with both our Creative and Engineering teams.
We have offices in both New York City and Arlington, VA, and you may work in either location.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
. Able to fluently hand-code clean, compliant, semantic advanced XHTML and CSS using pre-existing
frameworks.
. Ability to create your own extensible, advanced XHTML and CSS to implement new designs.
. A passion for W3C validation, accessibility, and properly structured semantic markup.
. Expert knowledge of cross-browser compatibility, IE rendering issues, and non-hacked fixes (or
better yet, avoiding conflicts altogether).
HIGHLY PREFERRED SKILLS:
. Advanced knowledge of Javascript and ability to write custom scripts or work with JS libraries
(jQuery, et al).
. A minimum of 3-5 years professional experience building (and designing?) both large and small
websites.
. Extensive experience in information design and user interface design.
. Strong knowledge of Photoshop.
. Strong web design skills and sensitivity to typography are highly preferred.
. Ability to prioritize and complete overlapping projects.
BONUS:
. Knowledge of Flash, Actionscript, XML, and even ability to read or work with Java/PHP/other object
oriented languages (at the presentation layer) is a definite bonus.
REQUIREMENTS:
. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in work experience.
. Minimum of 2-3 years experience as an XHTML / CSS Developer.
. Extremely organized & detail oriented.
. Active in online social networks and community websites.
. Ability to plan ahead and meet appropriate deadlines.
. Interest in sports.
