Human Resources Business Partner
ESPN Zones
Position Summary:
ESPN Zone Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for daily HR functions including: Recruiting of salaried and hourly employees; Employee Relations; Training; Compensation and Benefits; HR administration; Payroll administration. This position will be headquarteredat the ESPN Zone in Times Square, New York City.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports directly to: Manager, HR ESPN Zones
Reports indirectly to: Site General Manager(s)
Responsibilities:
Recruitment/Recruitment Marketing (salaried and hourly):
Employment advertising
Posting of all opening internally
Posting of selected openings on external websites
Employment advertising in newspapers and trade publications
Job Fairs
Applicant screening
Screen all applications and resumes
Conduct telephone interviews
Select applicants to be recommended to management for additional interviews
Manage interview and selection process
Job offers
Work with Management to identify top candidates
Coordinate with Compensating to determine hiring rate
Extend offer of employment to salaried applicants
Where applicable, work with Relocation to coordinate Relocation Process
Notify all non-selects of hiring decision
Manage background check process
New Cast Member arrival process
Training and Development
Facilitate classes (Performance Management I & II, Diversity, Orientation-WWI, Regulatory)
Compensation and Benefits
Manage change of benefits status process with Cast Members and work through resulting issues, where applicable
Supervise Employee of the Month program
Review and validate site benefits eligibility lists
Partner with Compensation on all rate quotes for salaried job offers
Coordinate bi-annual performance reviews
Employee Relations
Counsel management regarding Cast Member issues, salaried & hourly
Audit Cast Member contact sheets, advise management regarding appropriate recognition or discipline
Consultant to management on all issues related to Employee Policies
Work with management regarding appropriate disciplinary steps and memos
Advises management on appropriate processes Performance Management
Works with HR Compliance / Corporate Legal on all HR compliance issues
Partners with Employee Relations / Corporate Legal on all Site investigations
Partners with Corporate Legal on all Alert Line Investigations
Handle daily HR issues with Cast Members
HR Administration
Process all employee Leave of Absences in SAP through Employee Administrative Initiator Job Role
Monitor employee LOA activity through SAP reports
Process New Hires, Position Changes, Transfers and Separations in SAP
Maintain accurate Employee Record files in SAP
Process status changes
Administer Cast Survey at Site
Audit HR files
Run routine employee reports from SAP
Plan & Schedule monthly forums with staff and General Manager
Coordinate Cast Member recognition programs, Cast activities and other programs as needed
Perform Casual Buyer function
All other duties as needed
Qualifications:
One year of Human Resources experience in food and beverage, retail or hospitality industry
Knowledge of employee relations, recruitment and training
Ability to work with all levels of staff and management
Ability to manage multiple tasks and delegate where appropriate
Proven leadership skills
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Excellent written and verbal skills
Strong computer skills with MS Office programs, SAP a plus
Ability to travel 1-2 weeks per month as needed
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field
Current PHR or SPHR certification preferred
