Mechanical Engineer IV – New York

MECHANICAL ENGINEER IV in our NEW YORK office


MAJOR ACTIVITIES: Support the design and engineering of systems for new installations, system retrofits, system replacement and system upgrades Be able to estimate construction costs and to evaluate feasibility of construction Consulting responsibilities include preparation of due diligence, gap analysis, and feasibility reports Interface with clients and attend meetings Work in close contact with the entire design team Provide engineering support for Senior engineering staff

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Ability to convert architectural backgrounds into company backgrounds Ability to visualize three dimensional space in building construction; ability to draw sections with no direction Ability to communicate well with Architect/ClientAbility to write engineering proposals for small projects Is a polished professional with client experience Possess knowledge of ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) construction costs Available to work overtime to meet project deadlines

Prior Heathcare Project work a huge plus.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor Degree from accredited university in Mechanical (U.S. P.E. or E.I.T. will be accepted in lieu of the above)

Relevant Experience: 5-7 years relevant experience in the Mechanical field CAD Proficiency: Proficiency in the latest version of AutoCAD Computer Skills: Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Excel; MS Word
