Oracle DBA Needed For Major Financial Institution!! - – New York

Major Financial Company has a great full-time, permanent job opportunity available for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join the Systems Management Department at their Downtown Manhattan headquarters. To be successful in this role, you MUST possess:
-At least 3 yrs steady, hands-on, relevant experience working as a DBA with Oracle 9.x and Oracle 10g.
-At least 1 yr working with Oracle 10g, with knowledge of 10g Grid Control.
-Strong knowledge of Oracle internals and procedural language (PL/SQL).
-Strong knowledge of Oracle High Availability solutions: DataGuard and RAC.
-Strong knowledge of Veritas NetBackup and Cluster Server.
-Proven experience managing large scale databases in a mission critical environment.
-At least 3 yrs experience working in and administering a medium or large Sun Solaris based computing environment.
-Knowledge of WebSphere based applications and Unix Shell Scripting would be a plus.
-Relevant experience in the financial services, investment or financial industry.
