Gilt Groupe is seeking a Product Marketing Director with a strong technical and practical knowledge of providing the best in online shopping experiences. The ideal candidate will be a proven self-starter who appreciates web site design with high aesthetic values, a passion for luxury goods and a “can do†approach are musts.
• Research and identify new opportunities for GILT to further distinguish itself as the clear leader in offering high-end luxury and fashion goods online
• Lead the creation and definition of innovative product and customer experience concepts with the extended team of business managers, designers, technology managers, and cross-functional teams that will ultimately support the product implementation (e.g. operations, customer service, etc.)
• Maintain the overall product and feature roadmap, and managing prioritization and tradeoffs against customer experience
• Establish the product mission, goals, and supporting business metrics and indicators for success
• Measure and analyze new and existing competitors
• Implement and review usability test results
Required Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into business and product requirements
• Prior experience in managing UI redesign
• Ability to work closely with and translate/document requirements for product development, UI and design organizations
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong bias for action
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, and senior leadership
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and feature concepts
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with technical employees
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what's necessary to ensure our collective success
Qualifications
• 7+ years' product management experience in consumer-facing online commerce
• Bachelor's degree
• MBA with product marketing concentration a plus
